Kindred The Family Reunion @ Chew Playground with Jazmine Sullivan, Suzann Christine, Jaguar Wright and More.

August 12, 2014

KindredFamilyReunionKTS06Kindred The Family Soul held a family picnic at 19th and Washington and invited everyone, thanks to State Representative Jordan Harris.

And it seemed like everyone in South Philly showed up at Chew Playground, including some of Philly’s finest R&B, neo-soul and hip-hop performers.

“It’s great to see so many beautiful faces in the crowd,” Fatin Dantzler of Kindred the Family Soul said as he took the stage. “You probably don’t even know how much Philly talent is out there in the crowd with you.”

Gogo Morrow watched performers from right in front of the stage. Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin mingled with artists and fans for a few hours. Charlie Mack, Hank McCoy and countless others spent much of the day behind the scenes, greeting friends and watching the show.

Among the performers were Kindred the Family Soul, Mont Brown, Suzann Christine, Jeremy Isaac, Lady Alma, Jaguar Wright, Brotherly Love and many others. State Representative Harris served as MC throughout and he was often on stage dancing, making jokes and having fun with the crowd.

It was a pretty amazing day that closed with a powerful performance by South Philly’s own Jazmine Sullivan. She was emotional, sensual and inspiring, and she seemed to really enjoy performing before the crowd of thousands who remained at the free event all day long.
